OGS personnel operate in support positions to the U.S. military and her allies around the world, in roles that include Satellite Communication FSRs, Logisticians, Network Engineers and Trainers.
The majority of our Field Support Representatives (FSRs) are Army-trained Military Occupational Specialty (MOS) 25S with many years of experience. They are specialized in daily activities such as systems installation, configuration, maintenance, troubleshooting and training. Our highly skilled staff provides the full spectrum of field services to support fixed, mobile, and wireless communication solutions.
Our Network Engineers are responsible for the design, implementation, operations and management of wide area networking systems. They are constantly monitoring the system for potential network enhancements to improve performance. They work very closely with the military as new remote sites are brought into the network. All of our Network Engineers have a multiple Cisco network certifications.
System Administrators provide first-line desktop support. They configure new users; install new software releases and system upgrades; evaluate and install patches; and resolve software-related problems. In addition, they also perform system backups and recovery.
Our Logisticians have many years of experience tracking high-dollar hardware items for the military. They are responsible for the receipt, inventory and tracking of systems and components. They also track and ship components in need of repair or overhaul.
