SATCOM Field Service Representative (FSR) (Location – Afghanistan)

Responsibilities include:

  • Provide field support services to tactical VSAT communication systems.
  • Provide installation, operation and troubleshooting of SATCOM systems over the phone, via email, on-site or by remote connectivity.
  • Provide training as needed.

Ability to work 70 hours per week in austere conditions.

Desired Skills & Experience:

  • Experience supporting installation and operations or VSAT or other SATCOM systems.
  • Fixed/deployable satellite system operations and maintenance training or related equivalent work experience (Army MOS 25S preferred).
  • Some networking experience is required,  (CCNA minimally) desirable.
  • Prior military experience is preferred.
  • Security Clearance:  THIS POSITION IS FOR US CITIZENS ONLY WHO POSSESS AN ACTIVE US DOD SECURITY CLEARANCE.

Network Administrator – CCNP required (Location – Afghanistan)


Responsibilities include:

  • Provide the full spectrum of field service to support fixed satellite and VSAT communication solutions.
  • Set up, configure, and support internal and/or external baseband networks.
  • Develop and maintain all baseband systems, applications, security, and network configurations.
  • Troubleshoot network performance issues.
  • Create and maintain a disaster recovery plan.
  • Recommend upgrades, patches, and new applications and equipment.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to users.
  • Must have a CCNP and ability to work 70 hours per week in austere conditions.
  • Prior military experience is preferred.

Security Clearance: THIS POSITION IS FOR US CITIZENS ONLY WHO POSSESS AN ACTIVE US DOD SECURITY CLEARANCE.

Desired Skills & Experience:

  • 5+ yrs. experience working with Layer 3 routing in an enterprise environment.
  • 5+ yrs. experience working with Layer 2 switching in an enterprise environment.
  • Comprehensive understanding of Cisco switch and router CLI (command line interface).
  • Experience with implementing and troubleshooting BGP (creating and debugging prefix lists) in both WAN and LAN environments.
  • Experience with implementing and troubleshooting EIGRP/OSPF.
  • Experience with implementing and troubleshooting ACLs.
  • Experience with implementing and troubleshooting NAT.
  • Familiarity with Windows Server 2003 and XP (ability to log in, get IP address configuration, etc.).
  • Experience with recent versions of Cisco IOS.
  • Familiarity with Solaris 8, 9, or 10 (ability to log in, get IP address configuration, etc.).

Windows System Administrator – MCITP required (Location – Afghanistan)

Responsibilities include:
Provide LAN/desktop support, (installing, troubleshooting, training) installing new software releases and system upgrades, evaluating and installing patches, resolving software related problems, and performing system backups and recovery.

  • Provide and support Microsoft Exchange Server or Active Directory, TCP/IP and networking
  • Maintain NAS/SAN storage (NetApp a Plus), use of backup and recovery software such as Ghost and LiveState Recovery
  • Must have an MCITP and ability to work 70 hours per week in austere conditions.
  • Prior military experience is preferred.

Desired Skills & Experience:

  • Required MCITP (EA or SA) Enterprise or Server Administrator for Windows 2008 Certification.
  • 5+ yrs. combined experience with Microsoft Windows Server 2003 or Server 2008.
  • Microsoft Exchange Server and Active Directory.
  • Domain Controllers, DNS, and DHCP.
  • One or more scripting languages and command-line syntax.
  • Software testing, troubleshooting and integration.
  • SQL 2008.
